British women feel their sexiest at the age of 34, according to new research

A new study of 2,000 women by House of Fraser has revealed women feel significantly more attractive in their thirties than any other decade of their lives, with 34 emerging as the sexiest age.
64 percent of those in their thirties said they felt more attractive due to being more confident with age, with 34 percent claiming it was because they were in a better relationship.

A further 26 percent of those in their thirties said they were more confident in the bedroom – and one in ten said their sex drive had increased into their thirties.

But the research also revealed a list of sexy triggers for women of all ages, with knowing someone finds you attractive emerging top (52%), followed by getting a compliment from your partner (46%), wearing a new outfit (38%) and buying sexy new underwear (37%).

Losing weight (36%) also featured high in the list of what makes women feel sexy, as did getting a compliment from a stranger (36%) and getting a new hairstyle (32%).

In general, 52% of the women surveyed claimed they feel sexy “sometimes” – with a confident 3% saying they “always” feel sexy.

75% of women said sexiness is more about feeling in control of your life than how you look physically – and a further 84% said it was all about being happy with yourself regardless of how you look.

The study also revealed the average female has FOUR friends she thinks of as “sexy”.

A spokeswoman from House of Fraser who commissioned the study commented “It’s great to see from the results of our research that so many women feel confident and sexy whatever their age, however it is interesting that 34 is the age we feel at the pinnacle of our sexual confidence.

“The results have shown that modern women don’t need men to make them feel attractive and sexy and that they feel more confident surrounded by other women and fabulous style.”

According to the survey, 30% of women feel sexier on a night out with friends than they do on a night out with their partner – and 18% of women said they feel sexier in general around other women than with men.

But when it comes to compliments, most women (43%) admitted a positive comment from their partner made them feel sexier than from anyone else.
