And how about making sure that your lipstick stays on your lips and not all over your teeth! Invisalign (the virtually invisible teeth straightening system) advise as to how best avoid getting lipstick stuck to your teeth  (and your Invisalign aligners). After you apply your lipstick , put your finger in between your lips & pull it out slowly removing the extra lipstick. Additionally, make sure to blot the lipstick with a tissue after you apply it

–        Try applying your lipstick with your mouth closed. That way lipstick won’t be on the inner part of your lips that touch your teeth

–        Use a lip liner pencil in a natural lip tone or one that matches your lipstick, fill your lips entirely with the pencil.  Blot once, then apply lipstick.  Your lipstick should last without fading or traveling to the aligner

–        We recommend that you the transfer resistant type of lipsticks (especially by professional brands) and a clear gloss as much as possible, as the regular one is rather oily and can get on your aligners

–        To get the lipstick off your aligners, clean them using Invisalign cleaning crystals. Additionally, you can  clean your aligners with mild liquid hand soap and a toothbrush
