Make up looks that will be big in 2017

It’s about time we all moved on from the 90s nostalgia that we all grew to know and love in 2016. 2017 is all about bold and bright colours, big hair and lots of sparkles as we make way for the biggest style trend of the year – the 80s!

The Goddesses of fashion week have blessed us with their makeup wisdom, here are a few tips to follow to look your best in 2017…

Bold Lips

While we love a good pale pink lip colour, they are being pushed out the door this year. It’s time to welcome in their bolder and louder cousins. Expect to see a lot of people throwing out their sickly sweet colours for darker, metallic shades. The likes of DKNY and ACNE blessed their models with their unique styles, paired with deep and sultry lip colours, to give a real edgy look.

Glitter Vibes

There is nothing more 80s than some face glitter – so if you’re already a glitter makeup fan, then you are going to be over the moon with this makeup trend! Sparkles are breaking out of their barriers and spilling onto the streets. Runways were laced with models sporting the sparkle, on their eyes, ears, hair and lips. Big designers like Fendi and Gaiambra styled their models with under eye glitter, demonstrating that glitter is really coming into its own this season. Break out of your one-off- occasion festival-wearing glitter trends and embrace the sparkle in everyday life.

Dewy Glow

A matte complexion is SO last year – it’s time to embrace a natural summer glow. In 2017 achieving this look is going to be easier than ever, all you need to do is add a light-weight, illuminating foundation and a pale highlighter to your makeup bag! It’s being called ‘moon-kissed’ – but a silver dewy look is going to be very popular this year. It can really give you a youthful and healthy glow that will have people falling over themselves in the street. Fashion royalty Versace perfected this look on the runway this season and their models looked absolutely dreamy.

Jazzy Eyes

During fashion week, designers and makeup artists were loving a “disco eyes”, and models everywhere were seen sporting rainbow eye colours to give a real 80s feel to their look. The romantic pinks and pastel coloured eyeshadow palettes are swiftly being replaced with a brighter array of colours that will turn heads wherever you go.

To bring this 80s nostalgia into your every day. By the end of Summer, our makeup palettes are going to be filled with all of the colours of the rainbow, embrace the madness – it’s fun!
